Our services are inspected annually, and we are proud of our excellent reputation we have established. In our last inspection, the Care Quality Commission reported that:
'People and their relatives said that they felt safe with the staff and felt confident that staff were knowledgeable and skilled in delivering the care they needed.'
'People said that they felt safe and supported by staff in their own homes. Comments (from clients) included: "I feel safe", "They know what they are doing...I've never felt unsafe", They are very good as far as I am concerned." and "A friendly face who comes. They are all very polite and if you feel comfortable, they are doing a good job".'
'People described the care workers as caring, saying that they often offered to do additional tasks to support people. People said that the care workers were friendly and always happy to have a chat.'
'The provider took steps to ensure that the staff they recruited were fit to work with vulnerable people'

Additionally, Axe Valley Home Care operates a code of good recruitment practice. Consequently, we undertake a rigorous recruitment and selection process for our care support staff. Identification and qualifications are fully checked and references from previous employers are always obtained together with formal checks with the Criminal Record Bureau. You can be assured that your care is in the very best of hands!
Thorough training is provided to all staff. This includes induction, refresher training and specialist training to meet your needs. In addition, all staff are encouraged to undertake a National Vocational Qualification in care.
