Personal Care

This is care which could be given by family carers, and includes:

  • Assisting you to get up or go to bed, at times specified by you or stated on your care plan

  • Moving and handling with or without a mechanical hoist

  • Washing, bathing and personal hygiene needs

  • Denture and mouth care

  • Dressing, undressing and assisting you with your personal appearance

  • Assistance with continence including using the toilet, as well as emptying and changing catheter and colostomy bags

Meal Preparation

All meals throughout the day can be prepared and served, ranging from breakfast, a main meal, supper and snacks. Your regular carer can also provide assistance with eating and drinking if you have difficulty managing this independently.

Shopping and Errands

Your regular carer can go shopping with you or on your behalf. This can include the collection of pensions and bill payments.

Medication Assistance

Wherever possible, you should take responsibility for the administration of your own medicines. However, your carer will be able to administer medication if required.

Domestic Services

We can provide help to assist with housework and other domestic tasks both as a stand-alone service or as a supplementary service as part of a larger package of care.

Support for people with dementia

We support people with mental health problems such as dementia. Your carer can assist you in aspects of your daily life that you may find challenging. This may mean accompanying you to a day centre or helping with shopping, cleaning or washing clothes.
