Wherever possible and depending on individual capabilities, you will be encouraged to maintain independence for the administration of your medicines. However, we are able to administer medication if required but this must be on your care plan. The medication must remain in the original packing with clear instructions on the label, or from a compliance aid obtained from the pharmacy. The Care Quality Commission advises us that we are not permitted to administer medication that has been left out for them by family members or from a compliance-aid assembled by a family member.
" 'I would just like to say thank you so much for the care you provide for Mum. All of the carers are lovely and make Mum feel at ease. They bring a smile to Mum's face which is worth the world. A huge thank you to all of the carers. They do a wonderful job, no idea where we would be without them.
" There are often items in the media about the poor service provided by care agencies, and I was extremely worried when we had to find a care agency to support Adrian. The service we received from Axe Valley Home Care was first class in particular having regular carers at a regular time, who we were able to get to know, but more importantly they got to know Adrian's needs. They arrived on time, were smartly dressed and friendly and if there was a delay we usually received a telephone call letting us know what was happening.
" Thank you for the huge amount of kindness, compassion, courtesy, intelligence, humour, thoughtfulness, patience and love shown to Mum. It was much appreciated by her and her family
" Just a few lines to show my heartfelt appreciation for the attention and care given to me by the members of your staff whilst my son was away on holiday. It was a really great pleasure to be able to speak to them whilst covering a number of interesting subjects. It was great to have their company and they really lit up my day.
" Thank you for the care you give our mother. She particularly likes the very cheerful lady who even sent Mum a card when she was on holiday. How kind. Sadly, Mum has lost most of her sight but while she can manage in her own home it better for her and for this your help is invaluable.
