FAQ

Here are some questions that we are asked frequently. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here then please feel free to get in touch.

  • Contact us to make an appointment so we can visit you for a chat about how we can support you. We will need to discuss your goals and complete some forms together. You can then leave the rest to us.

  • We will agree a support plan together. This will detail exactly what you have instructed us to do. We will regularly review this to make sure that we are meeting your needs.

  • We are not allowed to undertake nursing tasks such as giving injections and changing complex dressing. However, we do work closely with your local community health teams. We cannot administer medication that is no longer in its original pharmacy packaging and we are unable to undertake any task that are likely to cause harm to you or our staff.

  • This depends on how many visits you have each week. You will be assigned a key worker who visits you on a regular basis. It is unusual to have just one member of staff assigned to undertake every visit to a particular customer. However, we will work hard to limit the number of staff who visit you.

  • We understand that your care may need reviewing from time to time. We will be in regular contact with you to make sure you are happy and we are always pleased to hear from you or your family to make sure you are getting the most from your service.

  • We will produce a detailed plan for you. This will explain the care we will deliver and the weekly cost. You may be entitled to assistance with the cost of you care either from your local social services department or via a Government grant.

  • Our office opening times are 7.00-15.30 hrs on Monday to Friday. At peak times the telephone can be very busy. If you are unable to speak with someone directly, please leave a message on the answer phone and we will ring you back. We also have an out of hours service which operates when the office is closed. It is available between the hours of 15.30- 22.00 on a Monday to Friday and 07.00 – 22.00 on weekends and public holidays. Our out of hours service is designed to support you with any problems or issues that arise when the office is closed i.e. your care worker has not arrived as expected. For general queries, please telephone during standard office hours.
