Medication Assistance

Wherever possible and depending on individual capabilities, you will be encouraged to maintain independence for the administration of your medicines. However, we are able to administer medication if required but this must be on your care plan. The medication must remain in the original packing with clear instructions on the label, or from a compliance aid obtained from the pharmacy. The Care Quality Commission advises us that we are not permitted to administer medication that has been left out for them by family members or from a compliance-aid assembled by a family member.
